Job Description 

British School International House San Giuseppe Vesuviano is dedicated to maintaining high standards of English language instruction across Southern Italy. As an International House affiliate, we provide dynamic, student-centered courses to young learners and teens, preparing them for Cambridge English Young Learners (YLE) and mainsuite qualifications in a supportive academic environment.

 

The Role

 

We are seeking an energetic, creative Young Learners EFL Teacher for the full academic year (September 15 to June 15). You will specialize in teaching children and teenagers, designing engaging lessons that combine language acquisition with fun, communicative activities tailored to younger minds.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Plan and deliver interactive, age-appropriate English lessons for Young Learners and Teens (ages 4–16).
  2. Prepare students for Cambridge English qualifications (Pre-A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, and KET/PET for schools).
  3. Incorporate games, crafts, music, story-based tasks, and educational technology to maintain high engagement.
  4. Manage classroom dynamics effectively, creating a safe, encouraging environment for young students.
  5. Track individual progress, provide constructive feedback to parents, and complete regular academic reports.
  6. Participate in staff meetings, school events, and continuous IH professional development workshops focusing on YL methodology.

Requirements

  1. You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification
  2. The role is open only to those with the right to work in the EU.
  3. You must have experience teaching Young Learners
  4. You must have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 8
